  • Who are you?

I am a 25 years old university student from Finland, currently working on my MA thesis about video games. In addition to playing and writing about video games, I am the sitting president of an academic video game society and a museum guide in a nearby museum of art and archaeology.

  • What do you do at

I am an excited intern! My work is very varied, from small odd jobs to research and content writing, such as these spotlights. Unfortunately I can not code beyond simple web development, so these tasks I am of no help with. Otherwise I am pretty much at the beck and call of the other team members!

  • What is the origin of your username and gravatar?

‘Lightfoot’ is originally a character from the novel Evidence of Things Unseen by Marianne Wiggins. It’s a cool magical realism book I can recommend if you are looking for an interesting read! At the time of reading, I was also getting into World of Warcraft for the first time and decided to name my human character in homage to the character in the book.

Glorious command

It is pretty cool to get a command into a choose-your-own-adventure webcomic, like Andrew Hussie’s Homestuck.

My gravatar at the moment is the arch magni Andrealphus from Floraverse by purplekecleon! In addition to video games, I am really into multimedia web comics – I even managed to get a command in to Homestuck, when Andrew Hussie was still taking them! Man, I’m still proud of that one.

  • What are you hoping to see on the site in the future?

I would really like to see the site grow to involve a buzzing community and a sub-community of eSports-enthusiasts! It’d be neat to find information on different eSports-scenes in straight from the participants and fans.

  • Which video game would you say has left the most lasting impression on your person? Why?

I received my first console, the Playstation, when I was eleven years old. In the first batch of video games I got there was a platformer called Muppet Monster Adventure. I don’t remember what the other video games were anymore, but Muppet Monster Adventure really stuck with me to the point that I still own the original disc. Although it’s basically a huge copy of the Spyro and Croc franchises for the PS1, it’s still a pretty good video game! It was only a year ago that I finally found the last two energy points in the level Grave Matters… Although my mind is mostly clouded in nostalgia for this particular video game, it also marks one moment in my early life that has taken me to where I am now!

Here you have it, the last two points of energy in Muppet Monster Adventure level Grave Matters. Not telling how to get there!
